Our CEO Turgay Ömür Received Ordu’s Heroes Award
The 12th meeting of Turkey’s Heroes Project, launched to encourage local production and stimulate trade, was held in Ordu.
The project, which aims to provide business development training to producers in different regions of Turkey and bring them together with purchasing delegations, also connected local producers with major buyers in Ordu.
As part of the event, an award ceremony was organized where the heroes of production who contribute to the regional economy received their awards. Conducted by the Reliable Product Platform and designed to revitalize local production, the project has reached more than 5,000 producers in 2.5 years.
Supported by Ordu Metropolitan Municipality, ORKENT, Ordu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Food Retailers Association, TURYİD, TÜRES, and PERDER, the meeting also featured training sessions focused on business development and e-commerce.
The event, moderated by journalist and Chairman of the Reliable Product Platform Celal Toprak, began with opening speeches delivered by Ordu Governor Muammer Erol, Ordu Metropolitan Mayor Dr. M. Hilmi Güler, Ordu Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Adil Levent Karlıbel, GPD Chairman Alp Önder Özpamukçu, and Hepsiburada Senior Corporate Relations Manager Sinem Süllü.
Within the scope of the project, Kadir Engin, Servet Altaş, Tamer-Samet Aktaş, Turgay Ömür, Cem Şenocak, Atabeyoğlu Lezzet Çiftliği, and Sagra A.Ş. were honored with awards for their contributions to Ordu’s economy. The awards were presented by Ordu Governor Muammer Erol and Ordu Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Hilmi Güler. During the ceremony, award recipients delivered short speeches and shared their feelings.
Among the largest exporters of Ordu, Turgay Ömür is one of the world’s leading cat litter producers and was deemed worthy of the Turkey’s Heroes award for his achievements in this field.
